 What Is Mobile Number Portabilty?
Well its the ability of a Mobile Number to Use (or Change) Servce Provider without the number actually Changing, i.e You with the permission of Mobile Number Portability enabled in both Service Providers (service carriers) One can Use a Particular Number for a while and then Change its carrier network, if need be, to another network.

That means Using an MTN number and Loading Airtel's card to recharge if Ported to Airtel!

Mobile Number Portability takes off March 26 2013.

It was Introduced by NCC
alongside some Communication Company like Interconnect, Saab Grintek, Telecordia.

NCC gave this 3 Companies a 5 Year License to Operate and now you can change your Network without losing your Numbers. (Great right?)
